Truly, this is one of the best hip hop albums I've ever listened, also one of the weirdest. The vocal actually isn't a rap, it's a kind of melorecitation. At first, I couldn't understand the music - for me it was a strange mix of cool backgrounds and rap that was totally out of the music. But after sometime I realised that Original Pirate Material makes me perfectly relaxed and the music itself is great, too. After In The Middle remix I started to admire Mike Skinner's voice and accent - very soft, truly English. Strongly recommended!

  1. Ahh, i love this album. It's easily one of the best of this decade, nice to see it gets noticed outside of the UK! "How's it Come To This?" easily the best, just for the way it captures 2002 so well.
